Oh, those Wacky Ancients!

There seems to be a trope where the Ancients created all kinds of crazy, off-the-wall pieces of tech from tentacles in showers to machines to allow for mpreg to happen. I'm looking for fics that contain these pieces of tech, with one collary: McShep, please. Preferably if the tech initiates a bonding or a relationship between John and Rodney. And the longer, the better, usually as it gives me more to read on my iPhone while I'm out and about.

In Straight as a Circle (http://toomuchplor.wordpress.com/fic/straight-as-a-circle) by toomuchplor Ancient tech turns John from gay to straight. He and Rodney were already in a relationship, but with John being suddenly straight it ends up becoming more meaningful for him. ~20,400 words

The inversion is 70/30 (http://semivowel.livejournal.com/3123.html) by semivowel, where an Ancient artifact turns straight John suddenly gay, and Rodney helps him out in several ways, leading to a lasting bond. ~11,000 words
