Rodney plays a sport! and angel!Rodney

After due consideration, two searches:


1) One of the things I like to read most is when a story gets Rodney to participate in some team sport; as in, Rodney plays a sport as more than a passing joke. Makes me bounce with glee every time. :-) Know any sport-playing Rodney fics?

So far there's a hockey AU, a hockey turnament on Atlantis and something like a "Men with Brooms" AU/crossover. That's less than a lot. Help?


2) A search on sgastoryfinders prompted me to ask about angel!Rodney fics; korilian helped out with a couple of links and claimed there were more out there. True, false, just a fandom myth?

So far there's the "Good Omens" cross-verse fic, depressed!fallen!Rodney chatting with Lucifer on an Atlantean balcony and the "It's a Wonderful Life" Pegasus-style. Oh, and the crack your ribs, it's all CRACK angel!Rodney ficlet. Could the rest really be just a myth...??

Maybe you mean the one of the AU ficlets by seikaitsukimizu; Sheppard's Goal
(http://seikaitsukimizu.livejournal.com/65211.html#cutid4), to be precise? It's so much like Stanley is Just a Cup (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=10051) that I kept mixing the two (go Goalie McKay! go!) Wish it had grown into a nice, long story though.

No, surprisingly it's not strictly an AU - I'm still trying to find it but I bet you've probably already read it. There's something in my brain telling me that it's connected to a fic where John runs away from the circus (?)to join the Air Force. It's American Football rather than soccer.

In other words, if you don't find it, is it okay if I post a search for the story at sgastoryfinders? Or you could do it; whatever it takes to find the story. Because, dude. American football + Rodney = ...::THUD::... John running away *from* a circus, as well = ...::DEDfromTHUD::...

OMG where did you get that icon? can it be borrowed? And by the way I most certainly do NOT have you confused with the other mod. I have examples of his/her? saved to remind me not to respond angry. Admittedly they are exceptions and I also respect the co mod. My comments addressed to you are about you alone. Modesty is important but so is being valued for your true worth.

That icon was made by foreverred, and I snagged it ages ago so you might want to check with them if their icons are still up for grabs (I'm hoping they are, but one can never be too careful or courteous :-) ).

Also, my co-mod lavvyan is probably the nicest lady ever, and even she got her nerves put through the wringer a few times by this comm, so if either of us comes off as not-so-sensitive at times it's all, well, someone else's fault. ;-)

P.S. You mind logging in sometime so I can check your lj out? I'd love to "know" who's been so kind with comments to little ol' me.
