I'm looking for first-time, happy-endinged McShep fics involving one of the following:

1. Some kind of a matchmaking program/device according to which John and Rodney are a perfect match. Ideally with one or both of them reacting negatively at first. (Canon/alternate-timeline or AU.)

2. Asexuality. Their relationship being asexual, or one or both of them being asexual but having sex with each other anyway. (Canon/alternate-timeline or AU.)

3. A prince-and-pauper theme or an arranged marriage. (Fantasy/sci-fi/historical-type AU.)

4. A Harry Potter fusion/crossover, with the guys being Hogwarts students.

* Only stories without any current John/male-other or Rodney/male-other please, and with minimal mention of past gay experiences/relationships (especially not-entirely-pleasant ones, unless it's non-con).

Random chime-in: I'd suggest giving it a try anyway -- I think it's one of those fics that's so well-done that it can overcome something that's usually a squick for a reader, and the John/Rodney love story is really the central theme.

For #2 (asexuality), the only fic that pops to mind is "Dulce Domum" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/67033) by busaikko, but I'm not sure it fits your request since it starts off as a Keller/McKay pairing & somehow John is added to the mix - with no sex with either Keller or McKay. I think the set-up of their relationship in this story is well-done & worth the read for that alone.


For #3 (prince & pauper), Rodney disguises himself as a woman in order to marry John, who is a Duke, in order to save his family from financial ruin in "To Marry a Duke" (http://community.livejournal.com/undermistletoe/50087.html) by saldemonium & yarnaddict.
