[identity profile] debris_k.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
Heads up folks, there are three new tags at the comm thanks to [livejournal.com profile] skaredykat. They are:

- apocalypse!fic - for all your pre-, post- and set smack in the middle of The End of the World story needs

and the old 'supernatural/mythical' tag has gotten two subsections but retains its original designation under the name supernatural/mythical: other, the 'other' standing for anything not related to:
- supernatural/mythical: vampire - blood-sucking night-walker really pale humanoid (who may or may not transform into a bat at will) types who are sometimes called vampires (though just as often as not these days), and
- supernatural/mythical: wereanimal - transformation of folks under the light of the (full or alien) moon into a usually savage and mindless (though sometimes disturbingly possessive and/or cuddly) (half-)animal, most commonly a wolf, less commonly a giraffe.

(As usual please apply these new tags to any requests you find that match the genre.)

That brings our current tag count to: 136 (!!)

And leads me to reminding you all: PLEASE TAG YOUR POSTS because that's what the tags are there for. (And also because I can't keep all 136 of them in mind any more than any other person could, so everyone doing their small bit would help things run along smoothly immensely.) Thank you for your understanding, and happy continued rec finding!

P.S. I've caught up with the unanswered requests tag going back over two years, so if you have a minute to spare and want to make some soul happy give the poor unanswered requests a look. *is shameless enough to throw in some puppy eyes*

Also, wait, weregiraffe? Is this an example or a real story? If the latter, my yearning knows no bounds and I must read it!

Not really related to your post, but related to mods, I hope you'll forgive me for leaving that message here instead of sending a PM.

Recently there is a trend to make searches while somehow taking a dig at McShep. I'm glad that people are exploring the fandom and searching for new stuff, I think it's great that the fandom expands its awareness, and I am aware that searching through the McShep might not always be easy; but still, would it be possible to remind people that they can in fact make a search about their own subject without having to criticize the fact that McShep was a popular pairing in the fandom ?

I think it would make their searches more meaningful.

If I just need to "grow a thicker skin and stop being a wuss", then please just delete this message.

Thank you.
