McKay/Beckett and McKay/Zelenka

Hello again! The first time I popped in, I was looking for McShep first-time fic. Now, given my blooming love for all things McKay, I would like to read some excellent McKay/Beckett and McKay/Zelenka first-time fic. As always, I like the slow building stuff with plenty of snark and wit.

The Secret Lives of Scientists (http://yearningvoid.net/stories/julad/000082.html) by julad is a brilliant McKay/Zelenka story that illustrates Rodney's interactions with the other scientists. It's the one where Rodney and Radek bond over hockey and hating Kavanaugh, and Radek gives Rodney time. Long build to a surprisingly romantic finish.

Absurdity Theory (http://yearningvoid.net/stories/julad/000083.html), also by julad is the best McKay/Zelenka crack ever. It's the one where McKay and Zelenka quack like ducks.

Keep Breathing (http://pierson.livejournal.com/143386.html) by pierson (Deirdre) is a very nice McKay/Zelenka h/c. It's the one where Radek gets beat up in the lab and Rodney suddenly notices him.

The Secret Lives of Scientists is one of the best fanfics I've ever read!! I loved the pun of giving 'time'. haha!

I haven't read the Beckett bits yet...but I planning to tonight. So, thanks again for the recs!!

The Secret Lives of Scientists is one of the best fanfics I've ever read!! I know! It's one of those stories I keep coming back to when I need a comfort fic.

You could also cruise around wondergeeks for McKay/Zelenka stories. As with any community, the quality varies; some are great, some are just okay. But it's a good place to find McKay/Zelenka fics and the people who write them.

I've been trying to think of some McKay/Beckett stories to rec you, but it's really not a pairing I read. You could go to stargateficrec and click the tag for carson/rodney. See what other people have recced there.

The one story that made me really believe in McKay/Beckett doesn't fit your request; it isn't a first time story, it has some serious angst and darkness, and it morphs into a threesome by the end. But after you've read some first time fics, consider reading Life Without (http://www.caffiends.net/viewstory.php?sid=423) by Kat Reitz and Perryvic. It's the one where Atlantis fell and Rodney and Carson are living together on Earth. Powerful stuff.

Because I've yet to read a trully awesome first time Rodney/Carson (though I've melted over a Rodney/John/Carson already), maybe because I'm not too wild about the pairing, and all the awesomest Rodney/Radek's have been recced already. Damn. ;-D

Hey, I just read a great little McKay/Zelenka story and thought I'd share. The Appeal of Scientists and Circuitry (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=4545&warning=12) by out_there. An old on, but I hadn't come across it before. It's short, but it's so much fun! It's the one where Rodney appreciates sharing science with Radek almost more than the sex.
