Stories to convert the BF to a fanfic reader.

Ok, so somebody posted this over at spnstoryfinders and I thought I'd ask over here, but obviously SGA related instead.

- Basically any Gen stories that are team (with maybe a heavy McKay and Sheppard focus) related. Must be well written - good enough to be published type stuff.

- No slash or het please. Not too cracky (at least not yet, need to slowly convert him) and no AUs.

- Not too long or short either.

I think that's it. Just well written stories to convert a non-reader of fanfic.

Just as a headsup, Agent Afloat contains these pairings:

Pairings: Hints of McShep, some Ziva/Tony and a bit of past Ziva/Jen.

Just thought I'd mention that as the OP asked for no slash or het.

Thanks! I'll keep this rec for myself - I certainly have no problem reading slash - though I'm not sure if I can read Tiva.

I'm not a Ziva or Tiva fan myself but the story is definitely well written.

Apologies. I did see that post, but I thought the request was a bit it open for what I wanted and I haven't read the stories the requester was talking about. I just wanted to distinguish good fics that won't scare non-fannish people away from the good fics for the casual fanfic reader.

However, I will take this into account in the future.

Seriously, even if it is an AU, Retrograde (http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/seriesindex.htm) is so awesome it SHOULD be published. I reread this frequently, and wish for more more more.

Check out the index carefully, as one or two of the side stories and snippets have some implied John/Rodney and John/Rodney/Teyla, or explicit Sheppard/Mitchell (Vegas, Expatriate and Exile, I believe).

If you haven't read it yet, do so! Even if you decide your BF can't take it, you will be much enriched by the experience. ::off to read again!::

Also: Planet Megalodon Wraith Defense Force (http://pentapus.livejournal.com/12658.html) by Pentapus because it is awesome, and gen and seriously--that title! That title alone is worth the reading!
