Post-"Trinity" fic! Only with a twist!

Omigod you know what I really really want to read?? Post-"Trinity" fic that does not focus on Rodney McKay or John Sheppard!

Like, you know how there was this whole other plot about Ronon and Teyla off-world, and Ronon finding out about the Satedan survivors, and how he murders his traitor ex-taskmaster, and betrays Teyla's trust?

I would so love to read fic that dealt with Ronon and Teyla after "Trinity" and how they kept Kell's execution/murder a secret from Elizabeth and the rest of the Atlantis expedition. Is there any fic in which Teyla gives Ronon a stern talking-to about what is and is not forgivable, possibly involving her beating him up with sticks?

Seriously, I am not even joking. Any and all "Trinity" fic that focuses on Teyla and Ronon, and has zilch to do with Doranda--please rec it here so I can read it and love it and call it George.

In complete seriousness, I am not holding my breath either, despite the thousands and thousands of stories written in this fandom. HOWEVER. If someone DOES rec a fic fitting my request, I will ask you to re-mix it (with the author's permission) or write a sequel, because then there will be TWO such fic in all of existence! Whee!!

Yeah, I was wracking my brain but I'm not sure this exists. I know a very good Teyla POV one, and another one that also deals with what Ronon did on the planet, but Doranda is still a major part of both.

Oh, hell. I'll take anything I can get. Even with the Doranda stuff, I just want something, anything, that deals with the fact that Ronon betrayed Teyla's trust and her reaction to it, and oh yeah, that pesky little murder thing (not that I blame Ronon, but come on, Ronon executing a man is a way, way bigger deal that Rodney blowing up a solar system, it really is) and if you have recs, I'd love to read them. *blinks big hopeful eyes at you*

Okay, but I have no idea if it's up your alley: Truth in Action (http://tridget.livejournal.com/8375.html) by Tridget. The beginning is, IIRC, primarily about Rodney. I like it but, well, I really like Rodney. :)

What I appreciated about this fic is that Ronon and Rodney can relate because of how they both screwed up. I liked how the story actually acknowledges the parallels and uses that for some great friendship moments.

(The other fic is That Which is Broken (http://friendshipper.laylalawlor.com/broken.shtml) by Sholio, and I'm pretty sure it's Teyla's POV but it's been so long since I've read it, I just can't remember if the Ronon/Teyla storyline features prominently. It's a good story in any case, just probably not fitting the criteria here.)

Ooh, the first one does sound interesting! "Trinity" is one of the most brilliant SGA eps because of its layers and parallels. I'm eager to see how Tridget contrasts Ronon and Rodney.

I'll try Sholio's too, since I trust her as a writer. Will report back re the content!

Er, I always feel like apologizing for that story whenever I see it rec'd anywhere -- it was the first one I ever wrote in the fandom (circa season two) and I was still getting a handle on the characters, especially Teyla and Ronon. So brace yourself for some newbie writer mistakes, including random POV shifts and more epithets than you can shake a stick at.

It does deal somewhat with the fallout from the rift between Teyla and Ronon (which was actually why I started writing it; being new to the fandom, I'd seen a lot of post-Trinity stories but none at all dealing with Teyla and Ronon), but it ended up being really more about Sheppard and McKay.

Yeah, that's why I was hesitant to rec it. Small doses this ain't. ;) (That goes for the first fic, anyway. And I think the main Ronon&Rodney stuff is in the later part, not so much in the beginning.)

I can so see that. I must say, I'm really glad that at least one of my fave characters is insanely popular. Even so, fandom life... sure was easier when I was still shipping McShep.

I don't really remember Trinity in this one, but it may have been a spin off it? It was done for one of the SGA Big Bangs: "Push Until It Holds" (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=14141) by zillah975 -- it's a John/Ronon pairing.

As I haven't yet gotten around to reading it yet, there also might be "I Am The Weapon" (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=14629) by jendavis -- it's complete episode tags from the time Ronon enters Atlantis with John/Ronon pairing told from Ronon's POV.

I've read both stories, actually, and they are indeed AWESOME. It's been a while since I read "Push Until It Holds" so I can't remember how Zillah dealt with "Trinity".

"I Am The Weapon" follows John and Ronon episode by episode, so "Trinity" is sure to be in there. But I love that series so much I will have to start reading again from the very beginning :)
