I am looking for any SGA fics that have a strong horror content. Not the Zombie fics tho I've read most of them. Crossovers/fusions with Lovecraft, Poe, King or any other classic horror writers are good and recs for them will be really appreciated, but what I am really in the mood for are fics that are mainly the original scary disturbing stuff from the writers own imagination, if that makes sense? I am as previously stated a McShep girl so that is my preference for these fics, although if the story is good but not McShep please rec it anyway. Oh and the longer and plottier the better.
I would also like to say that everyone here is sooooo awesome and very helpful, thank you

Fade to Black (http://www.wufeinomiko.org/gundamlegends/glxi/fadetoblack.html) by [livejournal.com profile] whizzy is a subtly creepy ghost story. Does that count?

Hmm... The ones I've recced below are McShep, but I translated horror into death/killing. Sorry about not having so much a ghost/spooky creeping thing, but these did give me a chill the first time I read them.

Shot in the Dark, "Machinery of Night" (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/14025.html). "Get a grip, John. It was just a nightmare." (Ascension device makes John think of killing people, Rodney fixes it)

The Ones You Leave Behind (http://www.refugeeblues.com/mcshepmatch/2009/war/fic13w_sab.html). "Look at it!" Rodney insisted. "Look at him." He was still pulling on Ronon's arm. "He's perfect. He's John."

In the Blood (http://keiramarcos.com/2009/01/01/in-the-blood/). “The first day they beat us both to death.” (Captured, enemies continuously kill sheppard only to heal him again while blackmailing mckay)

Faith (http://smiley.zonezine.net/html/39652.html). Rodney has more faith than most know.

Both of these have Lovecraftian references within the story.

The Mountains of Madness and the Bright Blue Sky by busaikko

Also at wraithbait.com, all the stories by La Chatte Noire are about Rodney having grown up in Arkham.

Well, Mountains of Madness is Lovecraft crossover, but it's crack humour.... Not very scary *g*

This one creeped me out. It's gen, and beautifully written team fic.

Cocytus by Eretria and Murron. Really, really good. Really, really creepy.

I was just thinking about this fic the other day and couldn't remember the title or author. Definitely creepy.

The Taste of Apples (http://www.eternalvox.net/auburn/apples.html) by Auburn might be in line with what you are looking for. It has several scenes that have stuck with me because they were disturbing, grotesque, and just plain creepy. The author listed the story as gen, but I think of it more as McShep preslash.

The equally awesome sequel, Sacrifical Drift (http://www.eternalvox.net/auburn/SacrificialDrift.html) is just as good. (McShep)

Hell, Rising From a Thousand Thrones (http://10leaguesbeyond.livejournal.com/14916.html) is very, very, very good Lovecraft crossover.

There's a Halloween link roundup every year at [livejournal.com profile] stargategenrec going back to 2006, running the gamut from flat-out horror to lighthearted Halloween-related stuff: http://community.livejournal.com/stargategenrec/tag/halloween - since it's a gen recs site, these are all gen, but you may find something you'll enjoy. :)
