[identity profile] amproof.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
This request is inspired by Every Day in Every Way by [livejournal.com profile] velocitygrass, which is my favorite SGA Big Bang story ever so far, and now available as a podfic!

I'm looking for stories that have one or both of the following:

1. John and Rodney become 'friends with benefits' and this develops into love and an actual relationship.

2. John and Rodney are the last to know that they are in a relationship, but it's clear to everyone else that they either want each other badly or are in love.

I prefer long fics, any rating is fine. No WIPs unless they are great and regularly updated. I prefer fics that are on LJ, DW, or an author's own website over wraithbait or ff.net. If you know of any podfics like this, I'd appreciate that, especially.

Thank you so much for your help.

Do Over by Crysothemis (http://crys.mrks.org/sga/fic/doover.html), NC-17, ~19,000 words, for #1. I love that fic! :-)

Also, Fix by Crysothemis (http://crys.mrks.org/sga/fic/fix-rodney.html), ~36,000 words, NC-17, which can be read three different ways! LOL

Transference (http://semivowel.livejournal.com/1888.html) covers (kind of) #1 and #2 except only Rodney is the last to know.

I have a couple of questions:

--What's your minimum word count for long fics?
--Does that mean absolutely no links to either Wraithbait or FF.net?

----------------------

For #1, there's:
Oasis by [livejournal.com profile] blueraccoon - it's almost 40,000 words & involves a bit of Monty Python/Princess Bride-esque main character death (meaning they're only mostly dead).
Teenage Kicks (http://www.goldenmaze.com/teenagekicks.htm) by [livejournal.com profile] rheanna27 - it's a little over 25,000 words & involves time-travel/de-aging.

For #2, there's:
Catalysis (http://www.fantasi.net/catalysis.html) by Chandri MacLeod - it's almost 60,000 words.
The Machinery of Heaven (http://www.strangeplaces.net/torch/machinery.html) by torch aka [livejournal.com profile] flambeau - it's a bit over 40,000 words.
Weddings, Plural, and a Yak (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/weddingsplural.html) by [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza - it's a little less than 20,000 words.
as lost as you get (http://www.improvidence.net/aslost.html) by [livejournal.com profile] lilysaid - it's a little bit over 10,000 words.
Rodney McKay and the Crazed Gay Yenta (http://web.archive.org/web/20080130134701/http://www.geocities.com/thegrrrl2002/atlantis/04/yenta.html) by [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle & [livejournal.com profile] thegrrrl2002 - it's a little over 10,000 words.

For some odd amalgamation of #1 & #2, there's:
Reinventing the Wheel (http://dejabu.robot-army.org/sgawheel.html) by [livejournal.com profile] eleveninches - it's almost 65,000 words.
Ordinary Life (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/ordinarylife.html) by [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza & [livejournal.com profile] astolat - it's a little over 20,000 words.
neither death, nor exile, nor pain (http://mirabile-dictu.slashcity.net/SGA/Neither.html) by [livejournal.com profile] mirabile_dictu - it's a little over 10,000 words.
