Any stories about press/media reaction to the Stargate program? (Declassification and beyond)

I've read In Bed With Dr. McKay, and I'm sure I've read stories where Fox News-type reactions play a role, but I'm really hoping to find stuff that takes the form of articles / transcripts, rather than stories...

McShep, or gen, or however it turns out. I'll even accept SG-1 :)

I don't think I've seen a fic that was just the press reaction - usually it's a story with the press reaction interspersed with the story.

There's a one-shot by ismenetruth - "Streets in a World Underneath It All (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=11556)" - that has some bits from a book published after declassification. The actual story is less than 6,000 words, and I think the 'clips' are in the first third to half of the story. The pairing is McShep.


The other one that leaps to mind is a much longer story, done for SGA Big Bang, by telesilla & Darkrose (I'm not sure if that's also her LJ user name or not) called "This Bolder Life (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/index.php?view=fic&id=36)." The pairing is very much OT4 (John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla). There are clips from interviews and what-not spread through the story almost as chapter identifiers from various media sources - TV, magazine, newspapers.


And well, this one really isn't focused on clips, but it does contain the reaction of the media to declassification... and also Rodney's reaction to their reaction with regards to himself. It's the second part of a series - just a little one-shot - by facetofcathy -- "Like a Pigeon From Hell (http://facetofcathy.livejournal.com/42373.html)." It's McShep pairing, and if you want to read the first part that alludes to the eventuality of declassification & the consequences to John's family, it's called "The Crooked Path (http://facetofcathy.livejournal.com/40101.html)."

Thanks! I remember 'Streets...', and I love 'Like a Pigeon From Hell' - inexplicably, I hadn't bookmarked it or 'The Crooked Path', so thanks for the reminder :)

I'll put the other on my reading list :)
