S5 post-Remnants AU

I would love to read an AU where what happened to John in Remnants was not 'it was all an illusion'-ed away; i.e., where he was left with permanent disability. Surely in the great wide fandom, someone has written this? *hopeful look*

Even the Best Fall Down Sometimes by quiet_december. It's not stated that the injuries are permanent, as that almost never happens in shinyhappy tvland, but they're severe enough that there would be repercussions in our real world. 1,800 words.

Okay, I just reread your request and realized that I haven't actually fulfilled it. John's injuries in my suggestion are as a result of, but different than, those inflicted by his illusions. Still, plenty of h/c, and team-y goodness. Worth a read, even though it's not exactly what you're asking for. Sorry 'bout my reading incomprehension. :>

I was reading through the Remnants tags on the episode-tag comm when this idea occurred to me. I had not thought of looking at Delicious, so thank you. Your first story is the closest to what I was looking for (more of a physically traumatised John than a mentally wrecked one). \o/ yay!
