[identity profile] fairofface.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
Hello, this is my first post but I've been lurking for a while. I have 3 searches which seems a lot so i hope it doesn't get too confusing. I always prefer mcshep but I'm open minded to gen.

1- I'm really in the mood for any fic where John is hurt, upset or just suffering in some way but for whatever reason doesn't ask for help even though he clearly needs it. this could be like a hidden injury or some issue his dealing with and thinks he can handle on his own, but hopefully Someone notices and helps anyway. The more hurt/comfort the better!

2- any fic where there is tension, disagreement or fighting within Atlantis, for example between the scientists and military or the athosians and the other exhibition members. Or just any two groups on Atlantis involved in some kind of falling out.

3- Iv'e been reading Fahrenheit 451 and can't stop thinking about fusions/crossovers/Au's with SGA and classic sci-fi stories, I'm looking for anything really, fusions with sci-fi books, films or tv. Even just really spacey slightly cliche Au's, or dystopian societies, anything would make me very happy!

Thanks in advance.

#3: Most of these are fandom classics so you've probably read them already and/or have them bookmarked but for those who don't:

Out into the real world (http://wraithbait.cathandnick.com/viewstory.php?action=printable&sid=12098&textsize=0&chapter=1) by Mithreon is a Matrix crossover. McShep.

Mona Lisa Box (http://tzzzz.livejournal.com/4146.html) is a Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles crossover by tzzzz. McShep.

The Holes in the Ground (http://mercurial-wit.livejournal.com/40092.html) by mercurial_wit and Got Sonic? (http://ladyyueh.livejournal.com/49543.html?style=mine) by ladyyueh are both Dr. Who fusions. (I'm partial to the second as it was written for me...*g*)

Can't take the sky (http://smiley.zonezine.net/html/38905.html) is a firefly fusion (WIP) by sardonicsmiley. I don't recall the pairings here, sorry.

The Dark Side (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/390434.html) by astolat, Ascension (http://soraya2004.livejournal.com/19402.html#cutid1) by soraya2004, and For Better or Worse (http://soraya2004.livejournal.com/20088.html) also by soraya2004 are all Star Wars. All McShep and all very, very different from each other.

"Where Did All the Physics Go" by Amireal is a crossover with classic scifi. As she says in the author's notes, revealing the crossover takes away some of the punch of the story, so I'm not going to tell you. It's a wonderful story, and well worth reading.

These probably don't all fit the first one, but they are h/c fics for John. Whether mentally, physcally, or just him trying to be stoic.

Me either, so I might just stick to this method, and oh well for the other kind. At least they work right?

Memento Mori (Seize the New Day)

by neevebrody

Summary: Disgraced and shunned, Rodney McKay finds a way to fight back with the help of a rogue cop and a motley band of scientists.

This story is a homage to my favorite sci-fi authors and is very loosely based on one of my favorite stories, "The Pedestrian" by Ray Bradbury.
