John/Rodney Coming out to John's Family

Hey all!  I was wondering if you guys knew of any stories that have John's family learning of a relationship between him and Rodney, either as an established relationship or a newly burgeoning one.  Bonus if John's father is around.  I'd prefer if the family came around to or where accepting, but that's not necessary.

I keep hearing about this series lately; I think I tried to read it twice before a while ago and something about the first part put me off. Is this the one that starts out in a bar and there's lots of posturing?

I'm thinking I need to give another shot, though, since it's apparently very popular. Maybe I just didn't read far enough into the story -- so thanks for the prompting!

Yes, it is. I believe there are about half a dozen parts to the story, if memory serves. It's one of the best AUs I've read in some time.

I didn't get very far in it either. I didn't care for the characterizations, basically. I did check out a couple of the stories down the line, thinking maybe I'd like them more, but didn't care for them either. So it's not just you!

Yeah, I like the story for the first few parts- somewhat- but after the little boy shows up the endless IQ porn and self-righteousness started to tick me off. It is well-written though.
