I know every one has that one story that they have read many times and still love. I think it would be a good idea if every one posted a link to that one story that they can not get enough of.

101 Ways To Get Lucky (In Love) (http://community.livejournal.com/undermistletoe/51353.html)

Summary: Rodney hires John as his relationship coach. (John has a daughter who does not make you cringe with that stickey-treacley precociousness you sometimes get with kids in fics.)

Makes me smile every time I read it.

I don't think I can narrow it down to just one... I'll try though...

*combs through fic-bookmarks*

If I could bring only one SGA fic onto an island with me I would have to choose [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic's 'Freedom's Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose' (http://synecdochic.dreamwidth.org/59305.html)

Summary: SGC finally stops calling him by December. Rodney celebrates by writing a final exam for his relativity class so difficult that it reduces four students to tears in the exam hall. Upon reflection, he decides to be merciful and offer partial credit.

And its Sequel (http://synecdochic.dreamwidth.org/95718.html)

And I have no clue where I found it but this piece of art had to get a mention:

I have to space out my re-reading of this to once about every six months, otherwise I'm just a wreck. FJAWFNlTL is just.....wrenching in it's last part, and while it's beautiful and hopeful and great, I couldn't go back to it too often.

Checkmate Verse by [livejournal.com profile] beadattitude is one of my all time favorites. John is turned into a medium sized cat and still manages to do his job -- and fall in love.

Written By The Victors by [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza is the other.

Hard to come up with just one, but when I was new to the fandom, it was quite clearly semivowel's Transference (http://semivowel.livejournal.com/1888.html), for its tongue-in-cheek tone ("It’s been 7 days since our last kidnapping/drugging/participation in an embarrassing fertility ritual"), its clueless!boys ("This wasn’t supposed to work on him, Rodney thought vaguely") and its subtle sort of romance.

<3, <3, <3. I read Rodney's freak-out scene over and over. :D

"Fourteen Years" by Hth has been my all-time go-to John/Ronon stories for years now. It focuses on Ronon's seven years as a Runner, which is amazingly done, and balances it with his first seven years on Atlantis. There isn't anything that isn't awesome about this story.

And I'm really glad I had to go search it out again today, because I found out that Hth wrote a sequel, called "Seven Years" which I just finished reading, and which only makes my adoration for the story even more epic.

Man, I could list at least twenty stories that I've read dozens of times and still return to every two or three weeks. I guess the ones I've read the most are Kid A (http://trickster.org/speranza/cesper/KidA.html) by [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza and Straight as a Circle (http://toomuchplor.livejournal.com/52472.html) by [livejournal.com profile] toomuchplor.

I like this question, btw. People usually ask for must-reads, and for me that's an overlapping but not identical list. Some of my favorite stories are too emotionally taxing to re-read a hundred times. And I think I have read the above stories a hundred times each (which is fucking frightening, really).

Ophthalmology (http://www.kormantic.com/sg/glasses.html) by Pares is one of the first SGA stories I read and I still go back to it time and again.

It's made up of lots of little "slice of life" snippets that weave together into a wonderfully rich story. It made me fall even more in love with Team Sheppard. Utterly gorgeous. <3

Like several others, I have a really difficult time paring my list down to less than a dozen (my folder of Best Stories contains 123 tales), but two stories I go back to again and again are:
Misconstrued, by NotTasha - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2343433/1/, and Maybe I'm Dead, I Just Haven't Stopped Moving Yet, by cybersyd42 - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3148301/1/

Misconstrued was the story that got me started reading SGA fic -- it features angsty h/c with a bit of humor, and features the S1 cast.

Maybe I'm Dead is largely a Rodney h/c fic, with major doses of angst for Rodney and the rest of the team, plus Carson and Sam Carter. It will keep you guessing!

Both stories are gen.
