Hello, everyone. :)  I've been looking through the last posts, and nothin's just doing it for me.  Anyone know any really good, decent length fic that is sort of likenottasha 's?  I like lots of Rodney h/c and not a sign of het anywhere.  Oh, if it's slash that'd be fine, too, but it just seems like if I look for Rodney h/c slash (preferably mcshep or mcdex) I'm coming up dry.  All I'm finding are fics that have been around forever.

Have you seen No Place Like Home (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_genficathon/51084.html) yet? It's from the genficathon just past, so it's pretty new, and definitely no het (but no slash either, of course).

Actually, no, I have not. :) I think that's part of my problem. I know lists like the genre finders and things like that, but ficathons and other communities, I sort of get lost in. Thank you!

I can also recommend a bunch by greyias. Rather than a bunch of links, I'll direct you to her site (http://www.lupous.net/sga/) and tell you that I think the following stories there might fit your Rodney h/c criteria: "Nepenthe's Kiss" (hysterical), "Wit's End" (starts hysterical, turns angsty), "Without a Paddle" (delirium), and "Breakdown" ("Runner" tag). Her Big Bang fic See No Evil (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=fic&id=28) only has a little Rodney h/c proportionately, but it's nice and long. As it happens, all of those are gen.

There's also xparrot's Any Port in a Storm (http://community.livejournal.com/gateverse_remix/25662.html) and ... well, actually, my Delicious tags might be useful. This combination (http://delicious.com/michelel72/McKay+Sick%2FHurt) of tags isn't only Rodney h/c -- it's stories I've remembered to tag that have McKay and that have someone being sick or hurt -- but most of them are since I tend to like Rodney stories best.

Yay! Michelel72 and folavril, thank you! I truly do appreciate the help and suggestions. :) I think my big problem is that I print most of my stories, so I like to be really sure I'm going to love it before wasting all that paper. This really goes a long way.

This is a fairly exhaustive list. Some of these folks write only gen, some write both gen and slash, some write both gen and het. I usuallly look for their stories on FanFictionNet, as I can check if a given story is complete, its length, and whether or not there's any pairing; alternatively, most, if not all, also have sites on LJ.

Its not big on members as I'm using it as a personal journal to keep track of all the lovely whumping fics I find but you might find something to read there as I think there are about 200 entries/stories.

This is an old one, but I honestly don't think it's been read much (it was actually posted on the wraithbait.com website a few years after it was written). It's Tag (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=9566), written by myself (as Leah) and Bastet, who has a LJ name but it's been so long since we were in contact I'm afraid I've forgotten it. :(

But, if I can be vain, I've always loved the summary line:

McKay wakes up with a hangover, and then the city tries to kill him. And things go downhill from there.
