Anyone know of any fics where someone sticks up for Rodney?

I mean, we all know that Rodney's a bit prickly, but his team doesn't care. Any fics where we really see that?

Could be episode based, like John telling off Jeannie for the "you're no John Sheppard" thing. Or just his team sticking up for him when other people judge him.

I don't want to be more specific, because I'm not looking for anything specific at all. Really, just someone being defensive for Rodney.

Best Left Unsaid (http://sorcha-gaia.livejournal.com/305215.html) is a series in which John and Jeannie exchange email. I'm not sure which entry this is to; check the headers. Not necessarily a WIP, but can be read as a preslash WIP.

Bee in the Bonnet (http://www.nottasha.com/bee.htm) has Rodney learning that someone he liked didn't like him, so he thinks that's probably true of everyone, while John tries to explain that's not true. Gen or preslash, very hurt/comfort. So that's more a case of the others defending Rodney to Rodney against the charges of others, but it may fit.

In This Era of Liberty (http://www.fantasi.net/iteol.html) is quite long and details the on-and-off relationship between John and Rodney. When everything seems lost, Ronon and Teyla assure him he's valued, and John also expresses anger at the people who have convinced Rodney he's not valuable as a lover. As with the prior entry, this defense is directed to Rodney rather than to others.

Loving Rodney (http://www.visionsofprettyboys.com/Atlantis/LovingRodney.htm): Atlantis becomes aware of the important people, including Atlantis. At John's suggestion, Rodney starts teaching city-repair classes. When a scientist keeps nearly killing Rodney with inept electrical repairs, John grows more protective and the city starts guiding Rodney to needed repairs and to ZPMs.

Wraith Killers (http://www.visionsofprettyboys.com/Atlantis/WraithKillers.htm) has an extended "Yeah, well my boyfriend ..." chat between John and Jack O'Neill that sounds really close to what you're asking.
