sgarecfindersI'm looking for a specific sort of AU--ones where the cast, or at least part of the cast, are living normal lives on earth, except for Rodney--that is, he's still living on earth, but he's working on something not considered normal. Could be SGC, or just some personal groundbreaking project or some such. Doesn't even have to be science, could be supernatural or something--essentially the point is that his work life or strangeness effects his friendships/romance/all-around hanging out with the normal SGA people.
As a general example, Rodney meets John, the surfboard shop owner or something. They become friends (or more), then, because Rodney works with the SGC in this universe still, the Trust comes along and causes trouble! That sort of thing.
Sorry if it isn't very clear, it's the best way I could think to describe what I'm looking for.
