Looking for Length!

I know that this isn't technically a genre... but I figured that this would still be the place to go and ask for it. So I apologize in advance if this isn't allowed!

I'm on my work term for my college course and currently have very little to do when I'm at my desk (although now that I've said it a couple [thousand] times it'll probably change) except read fanfiction. No, I'm not complaining. ^_^

What I'm asking you wonderful people is for your personal favorite fics that are really ridiculously long. You know the ones, the one you turn to when you have absolutely nothing to do and want a couple of hours to pass by quickly.

I'm personally more partial to Rodney being the central character, although I'll read just about anything. I only ask that you lable your suggestions (gen/slash, that sort of thing) for those people that don't.

three that I've recently read are 'Your Cowboy Days are Over' http://www.butcheredart.net/Fiction/YourCowboyDays.html It's john centric with John Teyla freindship, but has lots of Rodney in the later half. Has a little bit of disturbing content though, but it roped me in well and truely. Het

- "General & Dr Sheppard" McKay/Sheppard. Slash. And in the same series "Coming Home" John/Rodney Slash. Thia takes place in a AU BDSM world, but don't let that put you of. It's actually a beautiful story. Highly recommended. And very long.

These are some of my favorite long stories. They are pretty well known, so I hope at least one is new to you! :)

Transcendental (http://www.intimations.org/fanfic/stargate/transcendental.html) by astolat John/Rodney, ~45,000 words. Command of Atlantis falls to Rodney.

The Paradox of Vision (http://apple-pi.livejournal.com/215400.html) by apple_pi John/Rodney, ~ 24,000. Rodney is blinded. Predictably, he doesn't deal so well.

Slouching Towards Bethlehem (http://hawksong.com/~momskitchen/SGA_Fic/bethlehem.htm) and the sequel And There was War in Heaven (http://hawksong.com/~momskitchen/SGA_Fic/heaven.htm) by MrsHamill. John/Rodney, ~80,000 words. Atlantis is cut off from Earth. This fic isn't Rodney-centric, but he is one of the major players. *This story keep me up reading for days on end!*

Sheppard's Law (http://trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Sheppardslaw.html) by cesperanza. John/Rodney, ~34,000 words. John's life comes unstuck. This is one of my favorite stories in fandom ... it's more John-centric, but Rodney is very present.
