1. I have read all kinds of fic about Kolya. In them he is  either a complete
wackjob , first class Dom, or a rapeing villain. I am looking for a fic where he is just a man who has a job that sometimes makes him do things that make him feel dirty.

2. A fic that talks about the different religions the people of Atlantis brought with them from Earth.

Have you read Planet of the Dinosaurs by Penumbris? Slash Kolya/Rodney. The other Kolya stories are also good.

Summary: Captured by Wraith, McKay and Kolya are forced to work together in order to escape. What they don't realise is that spending twenty-four hours on the Planet of the Dinosaurs might end up having something of an effect on them...

Kolya has those characteristics in Transcendental by Shallott (http://intimations.org/fanfic/stargate/transcendental.html). The story is long and incredibly well-plotted and interesting. Kolya is definitely a reasonable person trying to work for unreasonable people in it.
