I'm in love with the notion of Rodney as concert pianist: can anyone point me to fics where this, or something like it (classical music rather than rock) is the setting? I know of one or two but fingers crossed there are more out there!

If it's slash, and John, then mmmmm: but mostly I'm focussed on Rodney, and Rodney's hands ...

Bonus for you: last night I saw Lars Vogt playing Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto. He didn't look a thing like Rodney until he started playing, and then I couldn't get the resemblance out of my head ... check him out on YouTube when you have a moment!
