Rodney appreciated?

Hey first time poster, long time lurker here! I am inquiring about any possible stories where people in Atlantis appreciate Rodney for all the work he does and or the 'regular hail marys' he does every week. It could be people at the SGC or the scientific community or any one at all who realises all Rodney is doing. I'm not talking about fawning praise but really comprehending some great things Rodney does and the load of pressure that comeswith it along with people shouting and bullying him .I know he comes up with his best solutions when Sheppard is doing that but it seems ridiculous. Apart from that I have never seen in fic how Sheppard behaves in episodes like this. This comes out of all the times I have looked at an episode and seen Rodney used in the comic role which is great (and who doesnt laugh at some stuff that Rodney does and I know he is meant to be annoying and unselfconsious about his ego) but it does serve to undermine all the numerous times where he is the one to come up with the solution and save everyone. It maybe has got blown up in my head but I can't count the number of times Sheppard or team is literally peering over his shoulder (the icon for this comm!) and shouting at him to come up with something in thiry seconds or the city will explode! Then at the end Sheppard will be with weir or someone and self congratulatory and Rodney will say something funny about himself and sheppard will exchange looks with the other person about silly Rodney and basically no acknowledgment about his save. The end! I know how stargate is the series where there is no continuation in storylines and character growth but please!!I can't remember a time that Carter was treated like that or expected to come up the solution in one minute!! I know he is the comic relief but it gets on my nerves.

Ok sorry about the rant -anyway I would like any and all ficsthat show Rodney being aoppreciated and maybe fic where people see the way Rodney is treated when he is coming up with solutions and the team is pushing him and calling them on it but preferably mcshep! Thanks for listening! Signing off.

Wow. So, uh, the only thing that I can think of is his team loving him in sardonicsmiley's Promises Writ in indelible ink (http://sardonicsmiley.livejournal.com/37160.html). ("We're about to come down with the plague, and you want to know how I'm feeling?" (McKay is isolated after infected, and everyone gives John something to give to McKay.)

Rodney realises how badly he is treated and decides to quit, which in turn makes John realise what he's done and he tries to make amends.
