Have you tried looking through the School Challenge stories at sga_flashfic? In the meanwhile, here's the few fics I really liked that fit this scenario:

Hands-On Science (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/207546.html) by nindulgence, gen *gasp! shock! horror!* is a great and awesome AU in which an American high school group collides with a Canadian private school group in a museum and John gets the tour of his life from one Rodney McKay. Secretly-super-smart!John and amiable-but-prickly!Rodney - don't let me squeeing deafen your ears.

Under the Sea (http://www.livejournal.com/users/astolat/102649.html) by astolat, McShep, Nc-17, in which Rodney is locked out of the lab and ordered to go to a frat party; of course, Rodney being Rodney gets drunk with and crushes on not-quite-a-crossdresser!fratboy!John and ends up teaching him and his friends some elementary physics. Shalott = crack (with a hint of scmoop/romance/twu vuw at first gay-fumbling-under-a-table).

How to Have A Relationship Without Even Trying () by ladycat777, McShep, NC-17, is a college AU in which Rodney and John are roommates, then mostly one-sided sex happens, then frustration + lots of hot sex + clueless misunderstandings, and eventually the clue-by-for hits home with a happy ending. Or, A/N: based on the worst college porn cliche ever, of one gay and one straight roommate and the hijinks that ensue when one or the other is horny.
