Rodney and his Allergic Reactions

I'm doing something with SGA that I haven't done with any other fandom...I'm getting interested through the fanfic. I've watched very few eps so far (just catching them as they re-run) but I've read a whole lot of fanfics in my kinks: mpregs, disabilities, gender-benders, etc.

What I'm interested in now is if there are any fics that focus specifically on Rodney and his allergic reactions. Any fics where he talks about his allergies, or more specifically fics where he has a reaction.

Going through tags, that's why this somewhat late comment, but... I've been meaning to ask this before: what is the animal/creature in your icon? For some reason, I identify it as a camel (perhaps because of the big nose?).

Camel? That's a new one. It isn't really anything. It's just a cartoon with a big nose. I've drawn different funny big nosed critters ever since I've been a kid, and at some point in high school settled on this one to represent myself in cartoons. So it seemed natural to make it my icon avatar when I got an LJ.

It's simply my cartoon self. (Though in RL I'm less cute and my nose is smaller. *G*)

Heh, I was so sure it's a camel! People tend to make icons out of everything, including cartoon animals so it didn't even occur to me it wouldn't be a "real" animal. Although a camel in a uniform doesn't sound very real ;) Very cute!

well, my avatar is versatile and can be animals in addition to human characters, but I don't have a camel icon. Just a sheep one (for memes, points left).

Well, in torakowalski's His Way Through the Constellation (http://torakowalski.livejournal.com/67864.html), McShep, PG-13, John has amnesia and they all try to cope with it, but there's a nice part where Rodney has an allergic reaction...

...and yes, I'm craving for this kink too, but have only found it in small ammount in a small number of stories so far, so there's really not many stories I could rec other than that one.

Well, I've only seen the eps up to season 2's ep 3 'Runner', and there's been no sign of Rodney being allergic of hypoglycemic other than him making references to it... Still, it would be fun. Although I think the real good sickness-related situations are best left to fanfics; the angst and tension and drama can have so much smuttier better endings there. ;-)

Hardly at all actually. There is mention of it in "48 hrs" which is a Stargate SG-1 episode. They make a big thing about it in "the pegasus project" (SG-1 also) but no actual reactions, anaphl or hypogly, just stating the fact.

Such a shame. So much potential for drama and h/c etc... I love the stories though. I am so glad people write fan fic.

There's also an anaphalexys(?) community on FF.net. Sadly they file every story where his citrus allergy is so much as mentions, but there are certainly a bunch where he actually has a reaction.
