Deceiving McKay?

Hi all! *waves manically*

I'm currently on a coffee & gingersnap biscuits high, and was mentally going through some of my fav McShep fics.

It occurred to me that while I've read one where McKay pretends to be a student in order to recruit Sheppard to the Atlantis project, and I've read one where McKay doesn't realise Sheppard is a student until he becomes his TA (that one is one of my all time favs!)...I don't think I've ever come across any where Sheppard actually pretends to be McKay's student in order to recruit him...?

So have any of you come across any fics where Sheppard willfully deceives McKay, and in the process falls in love with him? Can be for the purpose of recruiting him to the Atlantis project, or other nefarious purpose... *looks hopeful*

Unfortunately, once I (or anyone else, for that matter) comments on your comment, you can't edit them anymore. No biggie, though - I'm just happy you've seen the error of your ways. (Also, the folks at that place will find the fic in the time it takes me to type this up, probably, so either way it's the way to go. :-) )

I'm confused. I thought she was requesting a genre (McKay being recruited by John) and the other two were examples she already had...what made you see this differently? I'm asking because I don't want to make the same mistake.

We're talking about hunterofshadow's comment above, right? In it they recced one fic and described another one, strongly hinting that someone else should do the finding of said described fic - that last part is a no-no.

In our rules it clearly says that using this comm, either in posts or comments, to find *specific* stories, is forbidden - after all, that's what sgastoryfinders are there for.

Ah, I feel evil doing this. I was wondering about the two stories you talked about in the initial post; could you tell me their names? They sound interesting (mostly when you say the later is one of your all time favs)

The one where John is Rodney's TA is Bell Curve, Or Ladies' Night At The Boom Boom Boom, by rageprufrock. You can find it on her site glitterati.talkoncorners.net. Definitely an all-time favorite, I think I read it when I'd only seen 1 or 2 eps of SGA and I loved it.

I don't know the second one offhand. I'll come back and post a link in a little bit, but in case my inentions are loftier than my actions, I THINK I have it saved on delicious(.com/making_gray). Just search my college!AUs.
