Shock!

Hi all,

I've checked the tags and haven't seen this request....

You favorite fics involving a member of the team going into shock.

Maybe he or she is sick. Maybe it's shock from an injury. Maybe it's an emotional-turned-physical shock from thinking one of their team members has died. Any and all physical shock welcome! (Note: shock doesn't have to be the main focus of the fic, just somewhere in it.)

Gen, het, slash, whatever. Just please let me know which is which. Whatever I don't read, I'm sure others will appreciate the recs. :)

I'm not sure if you're looking for the physical symptoms of shock or if you just want something shocking that the team reacts to, but either way I think Benched (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Benched.html) by cesperanza's pretty awesome.

Not sure if you are also looking for anaphylatic shock too. If you are, I'd rec "Untalented And Completely Unprepared, But Giving It His Best Shot Anyway" by Dasha http://www.area52hkh.net/asd/dasha/untalent.php which features one of my all time favourite lines in a fic:

Rodney squatted beside him [John], considered trying to wrestle down the uniform trousers and gave up, pushing the needle in through the cloth instead. "That's your blood pressure crashing. The 'shock' part of 'anaphylactic shock.' Welcome to my world."
