Hey!

I've got a hankering for McKay/Sheppard kid-fic––well, I guess you could call it teen-fic, really. A lot of fics are centered around their young kids, but I really want something about older children. I'm not on my computer right now, so I don't have links on hand as examples, but I've seen a few drabbles in this vein. Anyone know of a fic where their kids are older than, say, six or seven? The older the better.

If not their kids, then the two of 'em taking care of Madison when she's older, that'd be awesome too.

Outside POV, inside POV, it's all good! As long as there are older kids about.

I checked tags, but if I missed a recent request similar to this one, I'm sorry, please just point me that way and I'll go!

I have one -- it's part of a series, but so far this is the only published one where their kid is older.

Some of my favourites are:

A Different Kind of Family (http://www12.asphost4free.com/mime1/fanfiction/sga/different_kind_of_family/dkof_13.html)

A Hundred Happy Things (http://busaikko.livejournal.com/94799.html)

On Life and Living (http://home.comcast.net/~wesleysgirl/fanfiction/sga/life.html)

I'm also writing one right now. . . if you don't mind WIP's...(Though she starts as a baby, she rapidly grows to an adult...so if you want to read it, it's an option. Eventual McShep, but I haven't gotten into that part yet. :))
It's the last AU (3) on the bottom of the page. It's called Isobel. It will probably all be up soon, as it's flowing along quite nicely. I must knock on wood now.

My self pimping. LOL! (http://www.geocities.com/bluedrgn52/mcshep.htm)

There's also Weddings, Plural, and a Yak (http://trickster.org/speranza/cesper/weddingsplural.html) which is classic Speranza. In other words, wonderful!

Oh, by chance I just ran across a story that I had forgotten about and really love: Small Primes and Square Roots (http://whitepaperdream.com/archive/sga/smallprimesandsquareroots) by Livia.

There's also "The Neighborly Detective and the Tragic Woobie Widower" by Master Elayna. He's not a teen, but he isn't a baby or toddler. You might enjoy it!
