Sheppard as bodyguard?

I'm looking for stories in which John acts or works as bodyguard for either Teyla or Rodney. I don't care whether it is AU and he actually is a bodyguard, or whether he has to assume that role because of alien customs offworld or similar scenarios that could fit into canon. Gen, het, slash are all fine with me.

I've already read a couple that were slash AUs with Rodney being protected: The Protection Racket by kormantic, Always Sleep With My Guns by fiercelydreamed, and Splinters and Stones by Kat Reitz and Perryvic.

A very AU setting could be "The Blade" (old version (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/226697.html) or new, redone version (http://community.livejournal.com/harlequin_sga/22760.html) with follow up Aegis (http://kellifer-fic.livejournal.com/171839.html)) by kellifer_fic, set in a world very much like ancient Japan (in fact, it *could be* ancient Japan - it's been a while since I've read the whole thing), McShep, NC-17, in which Rodney is the son of an upstanding mean head honcho who supports slavery or indented servants or concubines or all of those, and forces revolutionary-thinker Rodney to accept John, trained from youth to serve and protect (and have sex with) one master - his owner, as his "Blade", i.e. personal bodyguard and sex toy all in one. True to all Harlequin-type fics angst, misunderstandings and happy romantic endings are had, with big show downs and plenty of plot.

...I swear the fic makes much more sense is much more awesome than my jumbled summary makes it sound like. :-)

I've read that. I think of it more as slavefic, but you're right it has bodyguard trope as well. Thanks for reminding me.

I've been throwing bodyguard under my CopAU tag (http://delicious.com/lwdagreat/CopAU). I think there are about a half dozen bodyguarding fics there - it's normally fairly obvious which are which by my summaries. :)
