John+Rodney friendship and sleeping

Does the term "kink" still fit when the stories it is supposed to be fulfilled by are meant to stay gen?

I'm looking for McKay+Sheppard friendship stories where one is sleeping relaxedly in the other's presence. They can both be asleep, or one can stand guard, or work and go about his day in the room/field/whathaveyou to the sound of faint snoring.

For a better description, let me borrow Major Lorne in cesperanza's beyond amazing Written by the Victors:


"John really slept with Rodney. Really slept and just, John didn't sleep, John was always—you know, right on the edge, one eye open, protecting his people, but with Rodney, you know, he went out like a light. And it would happen back on Atlantis, too; you'd go to see Rodney about something, and there would be John, sacked out on a cot at the back of the lab, and Rodney ignoring him, working and typing and, just—it was weird. And I remember thinking, 'okay, he must feel safe here'. [...] So, I mean, to see John sleep like that... I mean, it meant something. I don't know what but it meant something.".

I ask that there be no McKay/Sheppard in the stories you rec me, since it's kind of the point that the sleeping and the implied trust is happening without a romantic or sexual relationship in the equation. If there are any pre-slash vibes at all, they are not allowed to progress even to the stage of kissing.

Hunh. That's a good question, actually. (And honestly, I have no clue, but how about no, since previous searches with sleeping involved didn't rate it, either.)
