[identity profile] telleer.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
I'm looking for two things:

1. Lifestyle BDSM. Any pairing, slash or femslash or het or moresomes, any rating. BDSM PWPs are welcome, but what I'm more interested in are lifestyle stories. I have read all the stories in Xanthe's Coming Home BDSM verse, but I adore lifestyle BDSM and can't find enough of it, especially in this fandom.

2. More important: long, wonderful McShep fics that are all on one page - i.e. they can be saved on the computer easily. I'm going to be without internet for some time, and I'm just hoarding everything I can find to read later. Any rating, any genre, any kinks, anything. Just, McShep as the main pairing, long, and on one page.

Any recs would be great. Thank you all!

Sorry, the link to your page of rec's doesn't seem right. I'm interested and wondering if you could tell me the correct link. Cheers

Hi, I'm lapping up the recs, too. You said, "I posted a load of sub!sheppard recs in *this* post" -- but the link goes to High School Confidential. Could you re-post the link, please? Thank you.

For the long stuff, head over to sgabigbang at http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net - loads of mcshep there, big chunk of 2008 & all the 2007 stories.

A lot of authors have their own off lj websites with everying in nice formats, which makes it easier to save fics in one file. You can't go wrong with anything by these authors (& its pretty much all mcshep, but check the labels)

Umm, I've got more if needed, but that's off the top of my head.

Also wraithbait makes it easy to save multi chapters if you click on the "print story" icon - it reformats a multi chapt fic into a single file you can then save as an html file. Dasha, Lady Anne, Lady Ra,

woops got cut off,...

and Layton Colt/Nixa Jane, Lacey McBain, Leah & Lavvyan are all good authors there with long mcsheppy stuff. If its multiple chapts, just click print story for a single clean file to save.

I only have one author to add to the list (I was planning on doing a list for several of those authors, but she beat me to it!). [livejournal.com profile] fiercelydreamed. Her stuff is amazing, and listed on her website (with links to single page stories) here (http://fiercelydreamed.talkoncorners.net/main/).

On the topic of long, one-file recs, I always prefer my fics to be in that format (because I read 99% of the stuff off-line) so I can safely say that any fic on Wraithbait (http://www.wraithbait.com/) can be saved as a single file (any single or multi-chaptered fic, that is, not multi-part series; series need to be saved fic by fic). Just go to the multi-chaptered fic (not the page with the overview of the chapters but any of the chapters) and in the upper right-hand corner click on the far right link Story - this will open the whole story with all the chapters, info, even images if included by the author in a new window. Perfect for easy reading. :-)

Also, all of the SGA Big Bang (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/) fics are posted in one part as well, and both year's entries by [livejournal.com profile] velocitygrass are my faves so far, just to finally rec something. :-)

Come to think of it, the longer fics on [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match this year and last were also posted in one part to some site or other, so checking back and seeing which fics are still available in that format might be good. As for recs, all the fics I've read from their challenges this year I loved to bits, so the list would be too long to recount, really. Still, hope you can find some you like as well there.

I know you have the link to the SGA Big Bang website, so I won't bother again, but I have to recommend "The Water Grinds The Stone" if you want a long (and I mean looong), meaty story to sink your teeth into. I've been reading it for about two days now and I'm just halfway through. It's quite the masterpiece. (As is In The City of Seven Walls, that can be found in one file on Auburn's website here (http://www.eternalvox.net/~auburn/citysevenindex.html).)

A Learning Experience (http://www.chezrozilla.net/learningexperience) is my lifestyle BDSM series about a young John and Rodney--both are around 20. While it's not finished, it's in pieces that each has an ending so you're not left hanging.

Highly recommended!

Both of these are pretty intense, pretty amazing, and both have Sheppard bottoming for McKay.

Take Clothes Off as Directed (http://www.helenish.net/asdirected.shtml) by Helenish. Author's note: This story, an unauthorized homage, won't make a lot of sense without the original inspiration and source material by Xanthe.

And Harmonic Function (http://shaenie.livejournal.com/322545.html) by Shaenie. Author's summary:"Let's go with Banach-Tarski as your safeword," McKay says almost absently, lips tracing lazily along John's hairline, and John blinks. "You want to go with a Euclidean geometric paradox for my safeword?" he asks, bemused.

Hopefully this will help though. :)

A fantastic BDSM life style fic that was actually inspired by Xanthe's stories "Coming Home" and "General & Dr. Sheppard" is the "Ties That Bind" series by Keira Marcos. But be warned it's pretty hardcore (caning, whipping) and has evil!Sam Carter.

Here's the link: http://keiramarcos.com/stargate-atlantis-fan-fiction/ties-that-bind-sga-au/
