Maybe clarifying what kind of pilot Blue Angel Pilots are would help get you more recs? I think I'm not the only one who has no clue about them.

Also, I think Yin had an PWP AU in which John flies a plane at an air show and gets it on with Rodney (the two things are not related per se) - would that fit your request?

I can help there. *grins* The Blue Angels come here every year.

The Blue Angels are an air show team of six crack Navy pilots. They fly F-18s in close formation all over the world. The Air Force version is the Thunderbirds, but the Thunderbirds ironically fly older air craft.

I haven't seen anything of the kind. The Blue Angels fly together pretty much for life and are required to be married to be part of the team (image, and avoiding groupie brouhahas).

Thanks for the clarification; the show (and the team) sounds impressive. (I still feel the original post would benefit from a simpler, more straight-forward explanation of the requested subject in it; not everyone will read the existing comments first or do a search just to be able to rec.)

Actually, the Blue Angel demo pilots serve 2 years with the team before rotating back to the fleet. I believe most other air demo teams have similar tours of duty.

And of course, John would fly with the Thunderbirds, being an Air Force officer.

The "Fighting Falcon", you mean? :-) Also, just the one I was thinking of above!
