But I don't suppose there are any McShep AU's out there where John and Rodney are New Zealanders, and which are set in NZ?  I'm thinking...John's an itinerant shearer with a dark and sorry past...Rodney's inherited a station in the King Country and doesn't know what to do with it...Together they learn to shear and...maybe to love again?

Or one based on the Whale Rider?  Or Goodbye Pork Pie?  Or even one where they were part of the SFX Crew on Lord Of The Rings (Jesus, that would be funny!  And what if Orlando totally hit on John and Rodney totally ruined Orlando's trailer with his pyrotechnic skills?)

Or John as Queenstown Ski instructor?

Or both as Professors at Victoria?  Or Massey?  Or Otago?

Just anything where they're NZers?

I know there's a lovely one out there where they meet in Christchurch on the way to McMurdo.  But I'm talking about one where they are actually NZers doing NZer'y things, but in a John and Rodney Stylee.

(I hope the ideas for what I'm looking for are ok in the Comm.  I was just thinking about this kind of thing and really wanted to see if there was anything out there like it.)
