Manic depression and suicide fics

Um, hi *waves* this is my first request, so I hope I'm doing this right.  I'm looking for two kinds of fics along similar lines:

1) Fics that feature one of the characters suffering from manic depression or a similar mental illness, and

2) Fics featuring suicide, attempted suicide, or suicidal thoughts.

I can't think of any off the top of my head for the first one, but for the second one I've read Trinity's Fall by lavvyan (http://lavvyan.livejournal.com/12730.html) and Ars Moriendi by Angyl (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?skin=atlantisgate&sid=2918).  There's another one where Rodney talks a fellow scientist out of shooting himself, but I can't remember the name of it.

Slash is preferred, especially McShep, but I don't mind gen.  Feel free to rec het for the sake of other people, but please label these.

Any recs would be really appreciated.

p.s. would anyone be kind enough to explain how to link things properly?  I've had this problem when reccing fics for other people, I just end up posting website addresses instead of having links from fic titles.

It took me several tries to figure out how to link, even with the directions. I just kept practicing and previewing my post until I had it right. And then when I finally got it, I felt so smart! *pats own back*

A while back I made a post about html codes, linking and such (http://debris-k.livejournal.com/4531.html), you might find it useful. Just make sure you're editing/writing your post in HTML mode, and not RichText mode - in the latter there are buttons which automatically link and code stuff for you, but it's not all shiny, unfortunately. :-/ Also, lj's FAQ has a section on coding/linking as well.
