Hi all,
I'm looking for more stories like the excellent Retrograde series by Martha Wilson, where Atlantis survived on its own for years and the SGC is establishing contact with what's essentially an independent colony, or where the SGC abandoned the Pegasus galaxy while people like Sheppard and McKay stayed, like in MrsHammill's terrific Prodigal Sails (and prequel: And All the Seas--there's even a longer piece in the works, yay!). In the latter, they stayed inadvertently, but I'm looking for ones where they stayed on purpose, too, and the SGC later contacts them or they contact earth. Prefer ones where earth finds those in Pegasus have been thriving, though they may have had hard times and are still fighting Wraith. Bonus for Sentient Atlantis that loves JS. g
Any more stories like that out there? Slash or gen, doesn't matter to me.
Cheers & thanks!

Date: 2008-08-08 01:26 am (UTC)One of my all time favorite fics ever is about Atlantis breaking away from Earth, not being left behind. It is the magnificent Written by the Victors (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Victors.html). It may not be quite what you are looking for, but it is so worth the read.

Date: 2008-08-15 02:32 am (UTC)I know it's craziness, but I liked having commas separating tags, like LJ does, so I automatically typed them in when tagging.
Now del.icio.us has started *automatically* removing them, so that for every tag I have ("independent!Atlantis,") I've started to have two ("independent!Atlantis," AND "independent!Atlantis").
I had to go through and delete ALL COMMAS. It took me the better part of two hours. *le sigh*
So - here (http://delicious.com/Kirinin/independent%21Atlantis) is the independent!Atlantis tag...
