Hi there - I'm looking for stories that focus on the science of the Atlantis expedition: not just the oh-crap-we-have-to-fix-this-or-we-all-die science*, but the holy-shit-this-is-awesome science. The eureka moments, when all the death and destruction and evil space vampires are forgotten because they've discovered something new and exciting that changes the way they see the universe.
After all, that's why they signed up to the expedition...
I'd particularly like stories that aren't just 'Look at this cool Ancient doohickey', but instead look at the process of working out what's actually going on, and the exhilaration of scientific discovery.
Also any stories where the non-scientists get enlightened as to why the scientists are so enthusiastic about their work.
Any characters. Gen or slash or het or femmeslash, all's cool :)
(In case you're wondering, I like science. It works, b*tches :)
*The oh-crap-we-have-to-fix-this-or-we-all-die science is cool, too. We all know how it makes John feel when Rodney's all smart and life-saving ;)
