Rodney McKay: Hero

I'm looking for any stories where Rodney is on his own (i.e. the team aren't there or can't help) and has to take charge and save the day. I'm thinking of Brain Storm/Die Hard/Disaster movie type scenario either on Earth or elsewhere preferably in a situation where the people he's with don't know anything much about him and are initially reluctant to follow him but gradually realise he is their best hope.

Two requests

One of the stories I like to reread is "Teamwork by Magus Minor" in which Rodney is a RCMP officer and John is a mathmetician and part of the science division on Atlantis and I was hoping all of you could point me towards other stories in which two of the "Main characters" switch places. Maybe Weir is the Chief Scientists/with the scientists and Rodney's in charge. Or Teyla is in the American Armed Forces (any division) and John is the leader of the Athosians. Or maybe Carson is the leader of the expedition and Weir is the doctor. Or John the doctor and Carson in the military. Any way and two of the following: Rodney, John, Carson, Teyla, Weir, Woolsey switching places as it were.

Another favorite is "Tao of Whales" by Friendshipper a sequel to the big bang fic of "A Clear and Different Light" in which Rodney is a whale rider, John is a mage, Teyla a Rune Scientist, and Ronon has wings! Anyway, what I love about Tao of Whales is that though I love Tao of Rodney, Tao of Whales is just so much better. And that is what I'm looking for, episode based AU fic in which the events/story just is better than the actual episode. A fic based on an episode in which the fic is so good you just have to read it a few times and it becomes almost canon in your mind. I really like Rodney so if Rodney is part of the fic it'd be a huge bonus but it's not a set requirement. Just no McKay/Keller.

Santa Claus is coming to town

something i was watching made me think of Chaya and Santa Claus, and i thought:
"Maybe Santa is an Ascended Ancient like Chaya, but for Earth. And toy-giving."

i checked the holiday tag and even the lj seek search and nothing came up specifically dealing with Santa Claus. So I was wondering if any of you good people out there know of any fics where we, in particular our AR-1 team, meet up with Jolly Old St. Nick himself.

Hi all I'm looking for two types of fics preferably Mcshep as its pretty much the only thing I read ;) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1)  I've read a lot of fics where Rodney is real self-conscious about his weight and goes too far with doing something about it (i.e: Bulimia, Anorexia) so I'm wondering if there are any where its John who is/becomes Bulimic or Anorexic or is just plain self-conscious about the way his body looks. Big bonus if it's Rodney who points it out to him and helps him through it.

2) I just finished reading Glass Houses by MistoKitt and thought it was absolutely amazing, and it's got me wanting more fics along the same line, John and Rodney pretending to be together (for whatever reason) one or both of them wishing it wasn't just an act and then finally getting together in the end.
