You know that phrase "Sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness after, than to seek permission before"?  I'd like to find stories that apply that to Atlantis' people smuggling in live creatures - whether for science studies or as pets, it doesn't matter.  They can be cute & fuzzy, they can be insects, reptiles, robot dogs.... Basically, they have to be able to move & act on their own cognizance.... and the stories need to be in the spirit of begging forgiveness afterwards -- even if permission was asked & denied beforehand -- presenting the creature(s) as a fait accompli & accepting consequences of said actions.

I'm not looking for any particular pairings, but have a general preference for McShep or gen!fic -- that said, I'll take any pairing you've got, just label the pairing where applicable.

Who's smuggling those critters now? )

Thanks In Advance!!

I recently re-read [livejournal.com profile] bluflamingo's Paid in Forward Motion (gen, pg and awesome) and was wondering whether there are other stories where the expedition comes across former Lieutenant Ford after his supposed death in "The Hive". A definite hint that he's still alive, a continued enmity, Ford being found and dying, a successful rescue - anything that has him meet up with the Lanteans again.

Hopeful,
