Antarctica, helicopters, aliens - flamethrowers?

I just noticed that John Carpenter's The Thing is getting a limited cinema re-release, and I immediately flashed on the whole 'Antarctica! Helicopters! Aliens!' thing - that, coupled with Kurt Russell, made me realise it was ripe for an SGA remake - surely there must be a SGA/Thing crossover/fusion/au fic somewhere?

Honestly, I'll be happy just to have 'John Sheppard with a flamethrower'. Or some serious facial hair to keep him warm.

I have a craving. Which, in the context of 'The Thing', is a little disturbing...

Crossovers- Hercules:TLJ or Xena?

I just found that HTLJ is on Netflix Watch Instantly, and I'm going to do some catching up with the fandom that lead me into slash.  Are there any SGA crossovers with either of these fandoms?  It occurs to me that John and Iolaus would find each other hilarious, and Teyla and Xena would stare each other down (and Rodney would have to explain those comments).  Not to mention, of course, that Iolaus and Daniel Jackson should totally get together and have some jackets made, because damn, when it comes to dying....

Anybody know of any?  I particularly long for McShep, Iolaus/Gabrielle and Herc/Iolaus, but I'll take anything!  Please warn for pairings.
