Okay, there are a lot of fics out there where Rodney is completely in awe of the fact that he was lucky enough to land John. Are there any where John feels that way about Rodney?

I've read a lot of fics where Rodney's in a relationship and ends up acting like an ass--which, understandable, it's Rodney--but now I'd like to read fics where Rodney is in a relationship (with anyone) and the other person is the one to act like a jerk or fuck up or something. Could be just friendship, in fact, just something happens that is not Rodney's fault. Happy ending very much preferred.

Hi I'm in serious need of fics wherein John(or any male character) swoops in and saves miserable Rodney from his miserable existence... I just read the fic Butterfly Effect by chaps1870 and it made me cry... now I crave for similar fics... It doesn't have to be really similar... I'm just looking for this elements:
1. Rodney is having a miserable life... or has problems... or is being/has been shunned by others...
2. John (or any other macho character, just indicate if it's not John) swoops in to save him from the cruel world and proceeds to shield him from all of it...
3. Angst

It could be gen, or slash....Bonus if there's:
1. Rodney cuddling.... any treating of him like he's a glass about to break....
2. Overprotective!John...
3. warm fussiness after the angst
