shell-shocked John; Athosian greeting

Hello there,
I've got two requests I hope you can help me with:

1) Fics where John gets injured and isn't actually able to just brush it off as something that's just bound to happen while soldiering. Bonus points if he lets show to someone else how shaky he's feeling.
I'm not looking for permanent injuries or the aftermath of torture - "everyday occurences" like getting shot or stabbed are wholly sufficient.

2) A scene I just read inspired this random thought: Are there any instances in fic where the expedition members sort of "adopt" the Athosian forehead-touching greeting - to such a degree that they start doing it among themselves instead of only when dealing with Athosians?
