I'm looking for... how to phrase this, exactly... I guess "cathartic" sex stories. Not necessarily post-anger/argument sex (or actual angry sex), but like... anything where it's a release of tension of whatever kind, a result of a long buildup, or where the sex starts out all fraught and ends up working through something. I'm not looking for non-con or dub-con (though recovery fics are okay) or hard kink/BDSM. Any pairing (or moresome), het or slash, is great, except John/Elizabeth or Rodney/Elizabeth 'cause those ones just doesn't do it for me, though any of those three are fine in other combinations.

Anyone got anything good?

Hubris

Are there any stories (slash or gen preferred, but will branch out for goodness) revolving around the ancient concept of hubris, the pride so great, the gods themselves feel compelled to smack the prideful one down?

How about stories involving hubris that don't involve the events of Trinity?

Games of Chance by xparrot is not so clearly hubris, because Rodney is working hard for someone else's sake, but the idea that he is working from - that he can change fate - is serious hubris, no matter his motivations.

Lavvyan has a scaryscaryscary one called Only With the Best of Intentions. I mean, don't read this before going to bed. Really. Rodney discovers a new use for the nanites.

In Tannhauser, by trinityofone, Rodney's hubris is all about John.

Hiya! Looking for 'bond' fics

I read HP fiction too, and it is a trope in that fandom to have two characters magically bonded together, forced to spend time in one another's company until they can at least tolerate one another, if not become romantically involved.

I recently started searching for that sort of story in the SGA fandom, and, believe it or not, found one: Decreasing Radii, by Cathalin, though of course substitute 'magic' with 'Ancient Device' and 'HP/DM' with 'McShep'!

Does anyone know about more like this one?  It doesn't have to be John/Rodney, though that's my OTP; and it does not have to result in a romantic relationship.

I am having an incredibly bad day, and I would love some fic to cheer me up!

Here is what I love: Long fics that I can lose myself in. Established relationships. Slash (especially McShep). Team fics. Really romantic fics, but where the characters are still recognizable, and still guys.

What I don't dig: AUs. Angst (remember, I'm having a bad day...a little angst is okay, but I need a happy ending). OOC fics.

If you have some good recs featuring any or all of the above, you would make me a very happy person. Thank you!

Aliens/Ronon Protective of John

Hi all. I'm looking for...

1) Any fic that involves the SGA-1 team encountering and having to deal with non-wraith aliens.  Giants, blob aliens, shape-shifters, even particularly outrageous human natives of a Pegasus world, etc.  I'll take it all. 

2) Any fic that involves Ronon being somehow 'protective' of John.  For example, any fic wherein Ronon carries John for some reason, bosses him around for his 'own good', threatens someone because he doesn't like the way he or she is treating/talking to John, takes care of John when he's hurt, etc. 

I read Gen, Slash, OT3s and OT4s.  Thanks in advance!

I caught 'Galaxy Quest' on TV last night - and I was wondering. Does anyone know of any Galaxy Quest-style SGA fic, or simply any parodies? I feel the need for something to laugh at! ^_^

I'd prefer McKay/Sheppard, but anything would be simply wonderful.

Yes, so, I've been asking a lot of you lately... but I've just finished my first year of teaching with skin and sanity intact, so please join me as I celebrate with mountains of fic!

I'm interested in fiction where John, Rodney, or both believes that they are straight before they meet the other.  Although I'd be interested in fics where this is a minor point, if they're INCREDIBLE, I'm mostly interested in the sort of story where it's a major obstacle to their relationship.

I'm aware of this list by incidental_fire, but I'd like to see what you guys think is good.  Also, that list was written several moons ago, so there is certainly a possibility that new things might have been written along those lines...
