Longing, denial, abstention, resolution (McShep)

I stayed up too late than I probably should have last night re-reading Coping Mechanisms by amireal (amific), and it occurred to me that I haven't read very many stories where John and Rodney recognize their attraction to each other and try to deny it, to no avail. It can either be openly acknowledged between them or assumed, but what I'm most looking for are stories that feature the sort of 'we can't, but GOD we want to' theme that I've seen (and enjoyed) in Jack/Daniel stories.

Ps. I'd take Joe/David of this genre, as well though I think I've read every story out there of that pairing.

ETA: A Taste Of... by stealmyhorses was just posted over at mcsheplets, whose challenge for the week is/was 'Abstain' (thanks for reminding me! And how did I not notice you were the same person both times?! I'm slipping).
