Two requests from me. First: rec me your favourite stuff with Don't Ask, Don't Tell being repealed. Crossroads seems to be back up (YAY) but that certainly isn't a complete or current list. I prefer McShep, and am not looking specifically for coming out fics, so much as how things change between the boys. amireal's Scenes from a Lesser War is along the lines of what I mean.

Second.. I'm sick, and thus cranky and antsy, and so I'm after some PWP and/or anything with awesome smut to cheer myself up. Still prefer McShep but feel free to toss me other things, too! Uh, I should probably cut the rest for those with delicate sensibilities. ( Cut! )

Specific McShep kid!fics

I'm searching for two specific kinds of McShep kid!fics. I've come across a few kid!fic lists in the SGA fandom, but they never differentiate between the kinds of kid!fic: mpreg, adoption, one biological parent, two biological parents, guardianship, de-aging, just a kid in the story, etc. And I like to know these things before I start reading.

So here's what I'm looking for:

1) Kid!fics in which both John and Rodney are the biological parents, but without any mpreg (that I know how to find):
--- Ex: A Beautiful Lifetime Event & Atlantis Observed

...or...

2) Kid!fics in which neither John nor Rodney are the biological parents, but are raising the kid(s):
--- Ex: The 'Raising Madison' Series & Weddings, Plural, and a Yak

AU or not; all recs are welcome. I really have no idea how many of these kinds of fic are out there in the SGA fandom, so I'm asking! :)

Just to be clear, I am not looking for:
* mpreg
* only Rodney is a biological parent
* only John is a biological parent

I hope that doesn't limit the search to zero, but we'll see. Any help is appreciated!

People Joining or finding out about the SGC

I am looking for two kinds of similar fics where people find out about the Stargate or join the SGC:

1. Fics in which we see how the SGA characters (or SG1 crossovers), came to find out and join the SGC. I have read a few fics from John's point-of-view that talk about his time in the antartic, his flying General O'Neill to the Outpost and his subsequent finding out about aliens and the Stargate etc. I love, love, love these kind of stories but would love to read other canon character's stories as well, would be funny to read Weir's story or some of the Air Force or Marine's stories!

2. Non-canon characters, finding out about or joining the SGC, and events from their point-of-view.
Specifically, there is Redbyrd's Endeavor Series and dietcokechic's The Barista and it's sequel The Assistant that are SG1, I'm looking for something like this for SGA (or a SGA/SG1 crossover)! I love seeing the canon characters from other's viewpoints.

So, I hope I've been clear enough, if anyone has any recs out there, SGA (or I'd accept SG1 crossovers as well!), I'd love to read anything in these genres.
