Shep + Ancient Tech = whumpy?

My brain is dead, and I am very much in need of good fanfiction. To that end... I know there has to be a ton of this type of story, so I'm hoping someone can point me toward some that I haven't read yet.

I'm looking for stories where Shep gets hurt by Ancient tech. Could be because they don't know what it does and it ends up being something bad, or because it's malfunctioning, or sabotaged, or whatever. Could even be just a more minor matter of scientists keeping him at it too long and he gets exhausted/there end up being side effects, etc.

Just a couple preferences: please no slash (unless it's preslash and/or easily read as gen), and no death or permanent maiming of canon characters. ;)

Cadman bashing?

I don't like Laura Cadman. 
I'm sorry I know some people do but I just can't stand her. I don't like the way she treated McKay during Duet & I don't like how she gets treated by some writers (as if she were Rodney's bratty cousin). 
So I'd like to read some stories where she gets spanked (and not in the fun way). I want stories where she acts badly & is punished for it. 
Something along the lines of Sealie's Chipping Stone (where she's a sexually harasess McKay & gets John injured on a mission).
