Once more with Sentient!Atlantis

Hi y'all,

It's been a while since I've posted about sentient!Atlantis fics, and with a few gen and het related ficathons, challenges and such already gone by this year I thought it's high time I checked back in to ask what I missed. (Since I tend to read mostly slash, and only certain pairings at that, so there *must be stuff I missed. ...Mustn't there?)

To recap, I already have a collection of fics in darn, darn big fic table form here, and in blog form here and here. If you want to rec fics already categorized (so I don't have to read 'em and then sort 'em), or just volunteer to categorize fics, you can do so at this post (complete with rec-a-fic template and a list of possible candidates which I haven't gotten around to doing... yet).

Or, you can just, you know, rec me stuff right here - that's more than fine as well. :-)

Oh, and did I mention the darn big sentient!Atlantis fic table has had its 1st birthday when I wasn't looking? *\o/*

I feel bad doing this, but work and I are having a hate-hate relationship at the moment, thus I'm just going to link you to my Atlantis tag at delicious (http://del.icio.us/loriel_eris/atlantis). (If I tag something as Atlantis, it means I thought that he city was sentient to some degree.) I haven't read all of them, so they may be be incorrectly tagged, but there are a few that I'm pretty sure are sentient Atlantis and you don't have.

Thanks for that - I do appreciate all the tips! I'll take a look at your list, crossreference it with mine - plus with the fics I've read - and go on from there. Hope work takes it easy on you soon!

Work and I are going to part ways in 14 and half (working) days, so all I have to do is keep counting...

As for my tagging. Usually I'll tag individual fic, but when I knows it's regularly updating recs list, I tag the recs list; it's only way I'll ever find anything again!

I have added a few more to may del tag, though I know for certain that I have changed the actual tag to Atlantis:Sentient (http://del.icio.us/dossier1013/Atlantis:sentient). The new ones are at the top of the list, and my definition of sentient is a wee bit more broad than yours, as I recall.

Thanks for the link! I was just wondering about you; apparently my memory for folks whom I should remember is fairly wonky, sorry. >.<

Also, seeing how I'm just about to add a fic that has a very dubiously sentient!Atlantis in it, and already have a few which aren't exactly Atlantis!Atlantis up there, I dunno how narrow my definition of sentience is, but as I also reread one just now which someone else tagged as sentient and found very little (read: none) actual sentience in it, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, or something. :-)
