Out of it Shep?

I'm really in a mood for some fics where Shep's out of it, loopy, not quite fully mentally and/or physically co-ordinated... Could be from exhaustion, drugs, concussion, alien tech, whatever. Could result in him getting silly, very earnest, thinking he's less out of it than he is and trying to prove it, wired, more open than usual, whatever (though preferably not violent/homicidal toward his own people). Could be angsty, whumpy, h/c, silly, a combination of the above, whatever. Can be a short story where that's the main plotline, or a longer one that just involves it at some point, whatever. Always nice if Beckett's involved at some point, but that's definitely not a must.

Just a couple things I don't want: Fics where he's drugged and/or given an aphrodisiac and his team finds him in a "compromising" situation, he starts making advances to them, etc.; fics where he's dealing with issues/grief by getting drunk (though I'm more willing to try that if you've got a really good one); slash (unless it's preslash and/or easily read as gen); or permanent death or maiming of canon characters.

I know Alipeeps has done a lovely one, Control, and I believe Stealth Dragon's done one or two of the sort... Please tell me you know of some more! There have got to be more of this sort that I haven't read, and I'm sure there are some that I can't recall atm that I wouldn't mind re-reading...

(Also, do let me know if anything's out of order with this post. I'm trying to remember proper protocol and all, but I'm tired and my internet's being very tetchy atm, so I can't double-check on guidelines. :P)
