hi!
i'm looking for any fic where Rodney actually has some military training - you know, where there's a REASON he was picked to be on the SGA-1, and it's not just 'cause he can hold the energy-finder really well. i've read the marvelous AU where he's a Mountie... but is there any out there where he's HIM, only, you know... with more?

Rodney used to be in the CIA in this one, but I should warn you, it bases Elizabeth Weir something awful, although her actions are central to the story, and allow us to see another side of Rodney.

cheers! and... really? don't mind the Weir-bashing, mostly 'cause her character is so two dimensional in my view of the canon that she really doesn't mean much to me... *looks guilty* does that make me a bad person? ;)

This is an swefully belated response to your query, but have you read "Chaos Theory" by Amireal? (it might be in amific, her fic journal, since Wraithbait is under construction at the moment) In it this universe's John and Rodney get an unplanned visit from their counterparts from a parallel universe, in which Rodney is the Colonel and John is the scientist.
