[identity profile] siberian21.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
Hello^^

I have watched a fanvid from SGA with the music of potc and now I'm craving for McShep stories with pirates. It can be a crossover with potc or an au with spacepirates or pirates from earth. Slash would be great, but friendship is fine too.

I hope there are a few pirate stories out there. Thank you for your help ^-^

There was an awesome pirate AU just posted today complete with illustrations!

Its Gen, but the effort put into it alone is worth your time!

Title: The Pirate's Prisoner
Author: Eildon Rhymer rhymer23
Rating: PG-13
Genre: AU
Characters: Team, with a bit of Lorne, Carson and Kolya
Word count: 42,000, plus ten illustrations
Summary: Rodney McKay hadn't realised he was being abducted by pirates at first. (If he had, he would, of course, have resisted with proud defiance, willing to die rather than submit.) Now he finds himself on the ship of the second most notorious pirate in the Caribbees, immured in a dank prison (well, a fairly spacious cabin, but that's not the point), forced to prostitute his intellect in the service of evil. And there's a savage on board, and a woman – an actual woman, in man's clothes, would you believe? Will Rodney ever escape and make it back to London to receive the Royal Academy Fellowship that is surely awaiting him.

I can't believe I'm the first to rec Martha's Raiders of the Seven Systems (http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/raiders.htm). It's a great space pirate AU. It's also gen and Rodney screws up so there's not so much friendship, but still, great story.

Hee! I kept thinking I shouldn't mention it because *of course* everyone had read it. Then I figured I'd include it and typed it up while I went trolling for a pirate story from a few years ago which I still can't find. And then I finally just gave up and hit post and there was your message! LOL. So let me just add I highly second this rec. :)

I always thought this (http://community.livejournal.com/crossovers100/181252.html) was pretty cool. It's gen, and a crossover of sorts.
