I've just as of this weekend got really into Supernatural and i was wondering if there were anyfics with Atlantis and Supernatural crossedover.  I'm sure there is but i've only found one.

I'd like something that's not to AU but still concentrates on what both shows are about but bringing them nicely together. 

McShep would be good and i'm openminded with other pairings as long as it's slash.

Thanks in advance for those who can find what i'm looking for.

I think it's maybe because the two universes' mythologies don't lend themselves to easy mixing. In SGA all supernatural stuff like gods tends to be aliens like Goa'uld or Ori and such playing pretend to enslave humans, or Ancient artifacts left behind creating illusions, and if people who die aren't really dead in SG they have become "ascended" energy beings, whereas in Supernatural of course demons and all kinds of critters are real, and there is an actual afterlife with varied modes like being a ghost or being in hell and such.

For any fanfic with a more involved plot the kind of handwaving mythology mixing of just having both shows' backgrounds be "real" without acknowledging that they don't fit together feels like a cop out. That approach doesn't work well for anything more complicated than a "Sheppard meets Dean while on leave on earth and we handwave all mythology, so Sheppard can drool over the Impala and then they can have sex." which is an okay way to do a crossover if the main point of your story is to make Dean and Sheppard have sex, but not so much if you are are telling some epic moster hunting action-adventure that needs the explanation of why a supernatural monster is not actually an alien even though it's the SG universe.

Yeah i can completely understand all that, i took time to actually think about it all i did realise that yes it's not going to work.

And i did read a Dean/McKay fic which was suprisingly entertaining which kinda made me want more lol.

I love all the mythology in SPN don't know why i didn't start watching it sooner. I kept hearing about how good this programme was and i was like god know. I was still greiving for the loss of Buffy so yeah maybe having SPN come out was a bit to close. But then i realised just how much i missed Buffy (and how bored i was this weekend) i gave it a try. I've never felt the need to buy DVD box sets but god i need Supernatural like now!!
