The Beginning

Hi all! I am hoping you guys can help me out. I am looking for fics that take place in the same universe as SGA, but are through John's eyes where he meets all the rest of the characters. Or where he just starts being in command of the military. I would only like McShep or Gen, though I do prefer romance. If the story diverges from SGA seasons a bit that's fine, but none where it changes the whole ending and everything. Thank You!
