Hi all, I have read several fics that have a recurring phrase of "Geeks shall inherit the earth." I was wondering if there is an origin fic out there where this sprung from, and also some recs where this in a main focus.

The line is an old (by which I mean 80s and 90s) pun on the phrase "The meek shall inherit the earth" which is itself a paraphrase of a bible verse generally translated as "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." The geek version was the kind of thing you found on buttons and tshirts when I was in college, and SGA is the sort of setting where it would naturally make its way into fic.

So sadly, there's likely no one fic that started its use.
